PetPress Premium

While the base (free) version of PetPress should give you everything you need to show your shelter animals, there are more features and reports available in the Premium (paid) version. In addition, by subscribing to PetPress, you are supporting the maintenance and development of the plugin. 

Following are the advantages of the Premium version of PetPress. 

Faster Refresh

• Refresh data every 5 minutes: PetPress retrieves fresh data from the data source every 30 minutes. PetPress Premium users can elect to shorten this interval to 5 minutes. (Note that the interval may need to be slightly longer for shelters with a large number of animals or if multiple websites sites are in use for the same shelter.)

Display Options

• Hide “select by name” selector control: You can choose to hide this list.
• Filters: Breed, Ages, Size, and Sex can be used to filter the animal lists.

Custom Detail Page

• By default, PetPress uses the same WordPress page to show both the list view and the detail view (ie: list of animals vs individual animal). Beginning with version 2.3, you have the option to create your own detail page (drop the “petpress” shortcode on it wherever you want the animal details to appear) so that the header, footer, and other page elements can differ from the list page’s.

 Premium Reports

There are several additional reports available to premium subscribers:

• Featured Pets report
• Found Animals report
• Volunteers report

NOTE: When upgrading to the premium version, you must first deactivate the free plugin before activating the premium version. This is unfortunately an important step that is not covered in the upgrade instructions. I am working to smooth this out, but in the meantime, please be aware that before activating the premium version you must first deactivate the free (base) version.
